PONSIntroducing Forkd
A platform for turning open-source crypto repositories into new projects on Robinhood Chain, with token launches through PONS.
Start with code that already exists
Forkd starts with a public GitHub repository and a specific change. The source is checked, a revision is pinned, and a fork request records what should be built for Robinhood Chain. The goal is a traceable path from upstream code to an independent product, with funding and evidence attached throughout.
Only crypto repositories are accepted. Examples include smart contracts, DeFi protocols, trading infrastructure, wallets, and blockchain developer tools. General-purpose apps are outside the scope of Forkd.
The project lifecycle
- Request: submit a repository, proposed name and ticker, and a clear build specification.
- Review: check crypto relevance, source revision, licensing, runtime assumptions and porting scope.
- Build: reserve settled credit and send a bounded job to an isolated agent runner.
- Verify: review generated changes, test results, upstream attribution and deployment requirements.
- Deploy: release reviewed software to Robinhood Chain and launch the separate project token through PONS. Record the resulting evidence.
What is available now
The website includes 345 researched repositories, pinned source revisions, project details and downloadable fork briefs. These pages work without an account or database. Voting, saved requests, balances and build activity need connected storage and authentication; unavailable services are marked in the interface. The default Vercel deployment does not yet include a persistent database adapter. The optional Cloudflare runtime supports D1. The repository also includes a separate isolated runner, fee-router contract and unsigned PONS launch encoder.
The runner must be deployed and connected before automated builds can execute. No token, fee router, completed Percolator port, automated mainnet release or FORKD buyback is represented as live without deployment evidence. A source-review brief is not generated code. The current runner can inspect and edit the pinned repository, run build and test commands, and return a reviewable patch; its output does not establish a complete protocol port.
Independent projects
A Forkd project is independent of its upstream authors. GitHub, PONS, Robinhood and other project names and logos identify sources or integrations; they do not imply partnership, sponsorship or endorsement. Deploying to Robinhood Chain does not list a token or app in the Robinhood brokerage product.
